KANE, Pennsylvania – August 10, 2021 – Longtime Kane Innovations’ manufacturing worker, Richard Dilley, has retired from full-time employment in Kane, PA following 43 years of service.
Richard “Dickey” Dilley, began employment with the company on March 28, 1978. During his time at Kane Innovations, he’s worn many hats, working a variety of positions in machine operations, general assembly, welding and finishing. Of all his duties over the years, he said that his favorite was metal griding.
When asked what projects gave Dilley the greatest sense of pride, he cited his various process improvement initiatives, such as revamping the detention bench fabrication area to streamline the grinding process for he and his team and adding the hydraulic lift to the fabrication shop.
Last month, Mr. Dilley was celebrated for his four-decade commitment to the architectural products manufacturing corporation with a retirement party and gifts that included a wristwatch, a generous monetary gift and high value gift cards to local restaurants. He will continue to work at Kane Innovations’ K2 plant indefinitely on a part-time, as-needed basis.
Mike Show, President of Kane Innovations, praised Dilley for his professionalism and loyalty.
“When I think of Dickey Dilley, I think of 43 years of dedication and hard work. His work ethic is unmatched. Employees like Dickey have made Kane Innovations the company it is today. We wish him the very best in his retirement,” said Show.
As for words of wisdom and professional lessons, Richard Dilley said, “Show up to work and do the best you can. Take care of yourself and others – and love what you’re doing.”
