Aluminum Fence and Gates Installed Along the Perimeter of Century-Old Memorial Point

KANE, Pennsylvania – June 25, 2021 – On Memorial Day 2021, following nearly a year of construction, Memorial Point at Evergreen Park in Kane, PA, officially reopened to the public in honor of local service people killed in action. Kane Innovations proudly donated custom-fabricated aluminum picket fencing and gates which were installed along the perimeter of the 102-year-old veterans memorial.

Originally dedicated on July 4, 1919, Memorial Point began as only a single, large boulder placed at the tip of Evergreen Park less than a year after the end of World War I. Additional memorials for World War II, Korea and Vietnam followed within the decades thereafter, including a special tribute to a local veteran killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011.

The decision to update the park was a long-awaited one. Over a century’s worth of harsh Kane weather had taken a heavy toll on the park which prompted local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1132 and the local parks commission to begin a dialog on reconstruction plans. Together with Kane Lawn and Garden and over $138,000 in donations from local businesses and donors like Kane Innovations, Memorial Point at Evergreen Park was officially complete and slated for its grand reopening last month.

Kane Innovations was honored to be a part of the new Memorial Point – a sacred space that means so much to so many.
